Baseball is back. Governor Greg Abbot’s recent guidelines letting youth sports to start practicing allowed the Alamo Heights Little League to get back on field on Monday.
This is their first time to practice since the league shut down before spring break.
Things will look different when the games start in just two weeks, but they are doing everything they can to take all the precautions to make sure everyone stays safe. Of course that includes social distancing.
For all of these young men and women to get back out there and play the sport they love it is a great feeling.
“I’m thrilled. We’ve been waiting for the crack of the bat,” AH Little League president Jennifer Colglazier said. “I’m so excited and they’re excited, which makes it even better.”
