Jim’s On Broadway Near Hildebrand No More
After 53 years of serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Jim’s Restaurant at 4108 Broadway near Hildebrand closed on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. A sign on the door read, “Goodbye, Farwell, Until We Meet Again. Today is our last day — it’s been a pleasure serving you!” The note went on to direct patrons to three other Jim’s Restaurants in the area. In all, Jim’s now has 12 restaurants in San Antonio and 2 in Austin.
Frontier Enterprises, Inc., the parent company, operates Jim’s Restaurants in San Antonio and Austin, The Magic Time Machine Restaurants in San Antonio and Dallas, and the Frontier Burger near Broadway and Loop 410. Prior to COVID-19, most of Jim’s locations were open 24 hours a day.
The Broadway at Hildebrand location had faced several health department issues regarding roach infestations, according to KSAT TV news, and was forced to shut down on two occasions in 2023.
