Dominates with Undefeated Run and Playoff Success

For an impressive fifth consecutive season, the Alamo Heights Mules football team completed their regular season undefeated. The Mules dominated most matchups during the 2024 regular season, finishing with a 39-7 victory over Kerrville Tivy.
Corpus Christi Calling
The Mules started their playoff run, hosting the Corpus Christi Ray Texans at Harry B. Orem Stadium on Friday, November 15. The Mules overwhelmed the Texans with a 70-14 victory.
With only a few days to prepare, the Mules faced the Mercedes Tigers from the Rio Grande Valley on Thursday, November 22, in Corpus Christi. The Mules easily handled the Tigers, securing a dominant 75-14 win.
Alamodome Showcase
In the third round of the playoffs, the Mules stepped onto the big stage at the Alamodome to face the Corpus Christi Miller Buccaneers. Mules fans, along with the cheer teams and band, packed the stands to show their support. The Buccaneers caught the Mules off-guard by scoring 28 unanswered points in the first half. Refusing to give up, the Mules launched an exciting second-half comeback. Running back, D.K. Garza, ignited the rally with three touchdowns, including a thrilling 73-yard run and an 84-yard kickoff return. Michael Terry III added a rushing touchdown to keep the momentum alive. Despite their efforts, the Mules ran out of time and fell 38-28, ending their season in the third round of the playoffs.
Season to Remember
The Mules’ 2024 season was exceptional by any standard. Just as important, the team united the community around a shared cause. High school students filled their section at every game, cheering loudly for their team. Families of the cheer squads, band members, and ROTC attended games to support their loved ones and the football team. Alamo Heights High School alumni regularly turned out to keep Mules traditions alive. Thank you for the memories, Mules 2024 football team. We can’t wait for an exciting 2025 season!
