Join our hands-on volunteer program, where you will get to change an animal’s life. Through ACS, you can help us by increasing the number of lives we save, socializing our animals, and educating our community.
If you are interested in volunteering, please complete our Volunteer Application. Once approved, our Volunteer Coordinator will contact you by email with orientation dates.
Requirements
- Must love and enjoy dogs and cats.
- Minimum ages to volunteer with a parent on-site is 14-17 years old. The parent must be present at all times.
- All volunteers (including parents) must attend an orientation.
- All onsite volunteers (including parents) must complete a background check.
Shelter Paws Program
Our Shelter Paws program lets you take a dog for the day – or even a few hours – in the hopes of making that dog more friendly and adoptable, and giving the dog a break from the shelter! Take a walk in the park, go for a hike or a run, watch a movie at home, or get a puppuccino!
Requirements
- Be 18 years old
- Have a photo ID
- Have a reliable vehicle
- Be dog friendly
