They say that first impressions are everything and that our eyes express so much about how we are feeling, so it only makes sense to dress to impress, from our shoes to our eyewear. Oculus Eyewear opened in January of this year, and they take this sentiment seriously.

Oculus Eyewear is an exclusive eyewear boutique that offers independent eyewear stylings from a carefully curated selection of eyewear. The opticians at Oculus Eyewear are trained to take each person’s unique facial features and personal style into account when fitting and recommending eyewear. The boutique features prescription optical eyewear and designer sunglasses, and they even feature a repair bar. Customers can schedule an appointment to bring in their damaged or worn-out eyewear to be refurbished, repaired, polished, or just given a deep cleaning while they relax and enjoy a gourmet cup of coffee or cappuccino.

This modern and luxurious eyewear boutique carries brands that you won’t find anywhere else, like Lindberg, Dita, Theo, and Anne et Valentin. Each pair of eyeglasses is hand-crafted by an eyewear artisan, and nothing that they carry is mass-produced. Quality is of the highest priority at Oculus Eyewear, and each customer is treated uniquely as team members get to know your preferences, lifestyle, concerns, and personal tastes.

Leah Johnson is the owner of Oculus Eyewear, and her team of experts is highly trained to help eyewear customers find the perfect style and fit for their lifestyle. Everyone at Oculus Eyewear takes pride in the “old school craft” of optical service, and all opticians are certified within their first year at Oculus.

Leah says, “We serve a discerning clientele, and many of our customers find us because they are looking for a specific eyewear brand that cannot be found anywhere else. Our stylists and opticians will customize your eyewear for a perfect fit. We measure and analyze your face to make sure that we are able to recommend the perfect frames for your shape.”

Oculus Eyewear is currently taking appointments for their resident optometrist, and you can also schedule an appointment online. The boutique also operates its own in-house lab to ensure the highest quality lens mounting. Their professional opticians will hand-mount every pair of glasses using high-definition digital lenses so that your new eyewear will have you seeing as clearly as the doctor ordered.

The boutique also features an interesting selection of unique eyewear accessories, jewelry, and personal accessories. They carry elegant T-shirts, hand-crafted eyeglass cases, and carriers, along with real leather handbags, clutches, and unique phone cases. It’s a great place to find the perfect gift for that hard-to-buy-for friend or family member, or you can treat yourself while increasing your own “face” value.

Half Texan on her mama’s side, Meredith grew up in Southern California and graduated from Pepperdine University, with a degree in Advertising. This allowed her to use words creatively, and to find her voice as a writer. She is a food enthusiast, and will eat anything but broccoli. Meredith has an incurable case of wanderlust, and she loves to cook, travel and eat. She spends her days raising two kids, and rescuing as many dogs as possible. She wanders the streets of San Antonio, and the rest of the world when she can, searching for great restaurants, tasty cocktails and interesting people. She is also still waiting for Shiner Bock to make her their official spokesperson.
