This project started with something really special: it’s the wife’s childhood home. From the beginning, the goal wasn’t to completely reinvent it, but to respect what it meant to her while updating it to work for their life today. So much of the design was about keeping that sense of familiarity and comfort, while making thoughtful changes that support a busy, modern family of four. The end result feels like a natural evolution of the home, one that holds onto its memories but functions beautifully for this new chapter.

A big focus was creating space for balance and individuality within the house. The wife wanted a dedicated office where she could close the door and focus, separate from the everyday energy of family life. The husband had a similar need but imagined his space a little differently. His office became a separate addition to the home, giving him a true retreat, somewhere he can step away and reset while still being close to everything. Wellness was also important to the family, so we incorporated a fully equipped home gym to make movement and health part of their daily routine.

The way the spaces connect to each other was just as important as the rooms themselves. The basement plays a key role in how the home functions; it acts as a transition between the outdoors and the more private areas of the house. You move from the pool and gathering spaces, through more relaxed family zones, and eventually into the quieter, personal areas. That flow supports how they actually live and entertain. Overall, the remodel feels layered and personal, honoring where the home began while shaping it into something that truly fits their life now.
