The Eleventh annual Mums and Mimosas fundraiser supporting Good Samaritan Community Services featured keynote speaker Ali Wentworth who didn’t hold back as she entertained the sold-out crowd of over 600 guests. Wentworth is a multi-talented performer, bringing a wealth of experience to all of her endeavors, including writing movie scripts, her column in Marie Claire, magazine and acting in notable movies and television shows.

Honorary chair Judy Gosnell Cavender was recognized, honored and surrounded by numerous friends and family members. Granddaughter and board member Kate Cavender Dawson introduced her and provided a bit of insight as to who the honoree is and a bit about her past.

Co-chairs Sarah Owens and Nicole Johnson along with Meredith Brewer welcomed the crowd and planned for a beautiful afternoon. Luncheon committee members Kathy Bolner, Kathryn Goertz, Brooke Meabon, Whitney Ormond, Elizabeth Raney and Annalese Smolik added extra touches such as the mimosa bar, overseeing the book signing, a delicious menu of chicken and shiitake crepes, and the raffle drawing; which consisted of a shopping trip to Neiman’s for a new Gucci handbag, a case of Veuve Clicquot, and sparkly jewels by Shetler Fine Jewelers, Mom’s night out at St. Anthony Hotel, and more!
