CHRISTUS Opens New Orthopedic Clinic in Alamo Heights, Providing More Accessibility to Care

CHRISTUS Health has officially opened a new orthopedics clinic in Alamo Heights, reinforcing its role as a growing pillar of health care in San Antonio.
Representatives from the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce joined CHRISTUS leaders, physicians and Associates to celebrate the clinic’s launch and recognize its commitment to patient-centered care and its growing presence in the city.
Located at 250 W. Sunset Road in the Alamo Heights neighborhood, the clinic offers comprehensive orthopedic care; sports medicine; orthopedic injuries and fractures; hip, knee, shoulder and elbow surgery; foot and ankle surgery; hand, wrist and upper extremity surgery; and advanced total joint replacement procedures, including the use of the MAKO robotic-assisted system. Together with non-surgical treatment options, these services are designed to simplify healing while improving precision, outcomes and recovery.
Patients benefit from an integrated care model that brings physicians, advanced diagnostic services and treatment planning together in one location, reducing delays and improving coordination.
“We’ve been providing care for patients in San Antonio for quite some time now,” said Dr. Dmitry Tuder, orthopedic surgeon for CHRISTUS Health. “We are so fortunate to be part of CHRISTUS, and we are very happy to call CHRISTUS our new home and to continue providing care in this area.”
Tuder is joined by Dr. Alexander Kreines, orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Bryce Karulak, podiatrist and foot and ankle surgeon, and nurse practitioner Christopher Warmath.

The clinic offers care for orthopedic injuries, fractures and chronic conditions, along with sports medicine services for patients of all ages and activity levels. Treatment plans are designed to be personal, taking into account each patient’s goals, lifestyle and long-term recovery needs.
Kelley Crimmings, vice president of operations for CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in San Antonio, said the health care system continues to invest in providing accessible, reliable, personal and integrated care for the community.
“We’re very happy to partner with these clinicians and staff to build this team from an empty building into a fully integrated care team that operates here on a daily basis,” he said. “They are very passionate about the care they provide the community, and it’s a resource – a needed resource, especially in this part of town.”

Sherry Fraser, president of CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – Alamo Heights, described the clinic as an extension of the nearby hospital and a visible continuation of CHRISTUS’ mission to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
“This organization is about ministry and caring for others,” she said. “Seeing this vision come together is incredibly meaningful.”
